Dry Needling for Pelvic Health

Dry needling is a precise technique used to release muscle tension, improve circulation, and ease pain. For pelvic health, it’s especially effective in treating deep muscle tightness, trigger points, or persistent pain in areas like the hips, low back, and pelvic floor. Interested in giving it a try? Dr. Katie is our certified provider and can safely incorporate dry needling into your personalized care plan to help you feel better, move more freely, and get back to what you love. If you’re interested in dry needling email us at info@bostonpelvicpt.com to get more information and book your service.

How it Works

SCHEDULING, PAYMENTS, AND POLICIES

  • Ready to get started? Book a New Patient Appointment to begin with a one-hour evaluation. We’ll review your health history, discuss your goals, and complete a series of physical assessments to create a personalized treatment plan. You’ll leave with a custom home exercise program to support your healing between visits.

Initial Evaluation: $250 (60 minutes) — payment due at time of service.

  • These sessions help you stay on track and continue making progress. Treatment may include manual therapy, massage, biofeedback, electric stimulation, exercise guidance, and updates to your home program.

    Follow-Up Visit: $200 (60 minutes)

  • Not local or prefer to stay home? Virtual visits offer expert support from anywhere. We’ll cover your health history and lifestyle factors, and provide a tailored exercise plan to help you feel better.

    Initial Virtual Visit: $250 | Follow-Up: $200 (60 minutes each)

  • To be respectful of the patients waiting for an appointment time to become available, we ask for a minimum of 48 business hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

    • Cancellations with less than 24 business hours’ notice will incur a $50 fee.

    • If this happens a second time, or if you no-show or cancel on the same day, the full visit fee will be charged.

  • We are a cash-based practice to prioritize personalized care—no rushed visits or limited access. This allows us to spend a full hour with you and tailor your treatment to your needs without insurance restrictions.

    • We do not bill insurance, but we can provide a superbill upon request for you to submit to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement.

    • Please note: Due to Medicare regulations, we cannot treat patients with Medicare, even if they intend to self-pay.

  • We accept cash, checks, HSA/FSA cards, and credit cards.

  • "Hi Dr. Alex! You changed my life. I thought I might never be able to have sex again, but your work made it comfortable and fun again. Now having the best sex of my life at 58! I can't thank you enough! You gave me my life back. My experience with your work turning my life around inspired me to begin writing a book about aging and menopause. I also have a podcast and social media: The Thing About Aging. My mission is to change how our culture views aging and help with the challenges of aging. Your future patients are as blessed as I have been for having been the beneficiary of your work."

  • “I had an excellent experience with the pelvic therapy I received from Dr. Christine. I’ve had consistent horrible coccyx pain for over a year, and was hopeless after going to other Physical Therapy rehabs. After working with Christine, my pain is gone, and I’m able to sit, move, and go about my day without constantly thinking about discomfort. From the very first session, Christine was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in my recovery. She always made me feel very comfortable. I’m truly grateful for the exceptional care and would highly recommend Christine to anyone in need of pelvic physical therapy.”

  • “I was pregnant with my second and suffering from pretty debilitating SPD pain. I wasn't even in my third trimester, and already walking was becoming almost unbearable. Normally, I would try to power through these things, but I knew with a toddler at home, getting to the point of being nearly immobile wasn't an option. Nervous to try PT, I met Dr. Christine and immediately felt so at ease. After the first appointment, she gave me so many tips and pointers that I felt like I was already making progress after 10 minutes. Without sounding melodramatic, I really can't thank her enough for giving me my life back. I look forward to resuming appointments now that I'm postpartum, too!”
